Wedding Photo Album Ideas
May 13th, 2008
Most wedding photo albums are pretty much the same as they were fifty years ago but technology is starting to allow more modern variations on this. Etiquette tells us to place the bride alone on the first page of the photo album; another link to the past when her mother probably had the same honor. This image is then followed by images of the bride and groom together immediately after the ceremony.
It would be unfair and impolite not to show off the whole wedding party in the wedding photo album next especially when they have gone too so much trouble to look their best for the day. This is of course is the group of people that play a part in the days activities like the bridesmaids and the best man for example. Etiquette then dictates that the bride has some images of her and all the bridesmaids that attend her on the big day.
Images of the bride and groom with their respective relatives will follow in the album. Wedding photo albums are generally large bound examples that contain pictures that are bigger than usual on pages that may be inlaid or embossed. The front face of a wedding photo album will try to be traditional as well with a number of recognized symbols of marriage like bells and horseshoes for example.
Tradition states that these wedding albums use gold or silver (especially the text) with the photos laid out inside shaped ‘masks’ for added effect. It may be a long while before physical albums are replaced but a more permanent record of the day can now be shown on a cd rom or dvd which most wedding photographers are able to supply themselves. Many hundreds of images can now be stored on a cd rom which makes it simple to carry around and display on a TV screen with little chance of damage.
Images stored on a disc are easily reproduced so every single guest can benefit from a full set of pictures in a digital wedding photo album. It is just as easy then for guests to look at the photos at their own leisure and have copies of their favorite shots printed off whenever they wish. The latest digital photo frames mean you can see a slide show of images wherever you wish to place the viewer; this adds a new and novel touch to looking at pictures.
